Shared Dreams

Our journey began with a dream of combining our strengths and making a positive impact on people's lives. Archana has a rich history of working with artisans, helping them develop their skills and crafts to earn a better livelihood. Through her work, she has touched the lives of hundreds of artisans and witnessed firsthand the transformative power of handmade products. Aayush, on the other hand, is a software engineer with a keen interest in entrepreneurship and a desire to create a company that makes a positive impact on people's lives.

Our Why

Together, we started Aakhar as a way to provide quality work to artisans and create a brand that customers love. We noticed that the home decor industry is saturated with generic, mass-produced products that don't feel relatable or personal. Our aim is to change that by creating a brand that feels less like a store and more like a reflection of your personal style and preferences. Saying that happy tickles went down our bodies when we saw our vision for these lamps painted in reality is an understatement.
